Concord - Water Hazard
Water Hazard is set on the ocean planet Leviathan. The guild is harvesting parts of an underwater eel, the Morack, which has been caught and is being processed on this ocean platform.
The art team tried to landmark this mirrored map with color and theme. One side was red and featured a shipping theme while one side was yellow and featured a meat processing theme. The capture zones on this map were themed with a dock and landing pad featuring a warehouse transition while the other side was Morack catching and harvesting with a locker room and processing room transition.
I was the map lead for this level and my contributions to the map include world art and set dressing for most of the outside areas as well as the warehouse interiors. I created and polished a substantial part of the modular wall and floor kit based on James Catterson's work in a beautiful corner. Additional level art duties also included occlusion, sublevel management, precomputed visibility, map and memory optimization.
